EU AI Act Article 20: corrective actions and duty of information
When a provider has reason to believe a high-risk system is not in conformity, Article 20 requires immediate corrective action to bring it into conformity, withdraw it, disable it or recall it, and to inform distributors and, where relevant, deployers and authorities.
The hard question is scope
Which runs were affected? With per-run records you can query by model version, policy version or tool, instead of guessing.
What to record about the fix
The change, the date, and evidence the new behaviour differs. Replaying recorded runs against the fixed version and diffing the behaviour is a direct way to show that.
Gaps to state honestly
The duty to inform is a communication process. A ledger supplies the facts for those notices; it does not send them.
How Vetro helps
Vetro writes every model call, tool call and policy decision to a hash-chained, ed25519-signed ledger that anyone can verify with the public key. Vetro Attest verifies a ledger or OTLP GenAI trace for free and, for 49 USD, issues a counter-signed report mapping the evidence to the EU AI Act, including an explicit list of what the log cannot show. This is technical evidence, not legal advice.
